- Displacement Mapping- alternative computer graphics technique in contrast to bump mapping, normal mapping, and parallax mapping, using a height map to cause an effect where the actual geometric position of points over the textured surface are displaced
- Bump Mapping- simulates bumps and wrinkles on the surface of an object
- Rendering- generating an image from a 3D model
- Alpha Channel- combining an image with a background to create the appearance of partial or full transparency
- NURBS vs Polygon- NURBS are the representation of curves and surfaces. Polygons are plane figures
- Tiling- the process of subdividing an image by regular grid
- Skinning- used to change deformations
- Aperture- is a hole or an opening through which light travels
- Shutter Speed- The amount of light that reaches the film or image
- Focal Length- Camera lens focal lengths are usually specified in millimetres
- Dolly- a film sequence
- Pan- a type of computer network
- Roll Aspect Ratio- A long wing has higher bending stress for a given load than a short one and therefore requires higher structural design specifications
